An Increase in Disney World Ticket Prices

If you’re an avid Disney fan who frequents the Disney World parks and attractions, you’re no stranger to ticket price increases. Ticket prices for Disney World will go up for a number of reasons, but generally just to ensure the parks can stay updated and run properly.

Two years ago, Disney put seasonal pricing into place for tickets based on demand. This year, there is a new model that will tie all tickets at Walt Disney World Resort to a specific date, whether you are purchasing for a single day or multiple. Prices will be set based on demand, and the booking site will allow you to search for the cheapest times to visit the parks. This new model will begin on October 16, 2018.

Sesame Place Coming to SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Entertainment recently announced that they are working to build a second theme park based on Sesame Street to further encourage guests to visit their SeaWorld Orlando location! Kids and adults of all ages can enjoy and interact with these lovable characters who encourage learning, friendship, and fun. This new theme park will bring Sesame Street to life in a new and exciting way.

To do this, SeaWorld has extended their licensing agreement with the Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit that controls and runs the TV show and all characters. SeaWorld Entertainment currently runs a Sesame Place theme park located just outside of Philadelphia in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. This particular location offers all sorts of rides for kids as well as shows, parades, games, and many of your favorite furry Sesame Street friends.

Marriott International CEO Predicts More Mega Mergers To Come

Following 2016’s massive merger between the Marriott and Starwood hospitality brands, Marriott International is continuing their mission to integrate Starwood properties into their network. Last year, Marriott’s catalogue of more than 30 brands added Westin, St. Regis, Sheraton, and other names to their empire, which resulted in a combining of two powerhouses in the hospitality industry. However, CEO Arne Sorenson indicated that their huge merger won’t likely be the last.

“This is the first big consolidation of this era,” Sorenson noted, acknowledging the importance of Marriott’s purchase of Starwood. He went on to predict other major hotel and hospitality brands will seek mergers of their own to capitalize on a growing industry: “People understand the logic of it and think the logic makes sense. I think that’s one reason people say, ‘Alright, other companies should follow.’”
